How it works
From Japanese auction to your driveway, in five steps.
We do not hold cars in a yard. Every Waka Mai car is sourced once you commit, then carried through to a complianced, registered NZ vehicle. Here is what that looks like in practice.
- 01
Find a car
Browse the catalogue or send us a brief. Filter by make, body type, fuel, and your maximum landed budget. Every listing shows a full breakdown of what landing it in Auckland will cost.
- 02
Submit an enquiry
Tell us your timeframe, budget, and finance situation. Our Japan-side agent confirms the car is still available, walks you through the auction sheet in plain English, and answers any technical questions.
- 03
Lock the deal
Once you are happy, you sign written terms with Aziz Holdings and the landed price is locked. Nothing in the price changes after this point unless the auction sheet was wrong, in which case we refund cleanly under the agreed terms.
- 04
We do the work in the background
We handle the auction bid, export paperwork, shipping booking, NZ customs, compliance inspection, and final registration. You get updates as each step completes, not at the end.
- 05
Pick up your car
When the car clears compliance in NZ, you take delivery in Auckland — or we arrange domestic shipping to wherever you are. Keys, paperwork, WoF, and rego all sorted.
Typical timeframe
From locking the deal to a complianced car in Auckland is usually six to ten weeks. The auction lead time is the biggest variable — some weeks the right car appears, some weeks it does not. We will keep you posted either way.
